The work
Sometimes bringing a whole relationship into the room feels too daunting. Our individual therapy stays relational: how you experience yourself, and how you connect with others, is always the center of the work.
Together we soften self-blame and shame without excusing harm — it's okay to be exactly who you are, but not every action is okay.
Many clients begin to welcome back the parts of themselves they've long believed were shameful, and to build an inner voice that is kind.
One person, one room,
the whole of your story.
Working with parts
You are not one single voice. You're a whole inner family.
Our individual work draws on Internal Family Systems, or IFS — an approach that treats the mind as made up of parts. There's the part that pushes you to achieve, the part that criticizes you before anyone else can, the part that goes numb, the part that still carries something painful from long ago. Each one took its job for a reason.
Instead of arguing with these parts or trying to silence them, we get curious about them. What is the critic protecting you from? What is the part that shuts down afraid would happen if it let you feel? As those parts feel understood rather than managed, they relax — and the calmer, steadier Self underneath them has room to lead.
This pairs naturally with relational work. The parts that protect you inside are usually the same ones that show up between you and the people you love.
